Where is Salman Pax?
Like many other people, I'm wondering what became of the Baghdad blogger, whose observations in the first few days of the war put a very human face on events in Iraq. Today there's an article from Channel News Asia which discusses who he might be and whether he is still alive. Apparently one theory is that he's a 29-year-old architect educated in Austria. Another names him as Raed Rokan Al-Anbuge, the 28-year-old son of a former Iraqi diplomat arrested in New York on March 25. Or if you prefer conspiracy theories, maybe the blog was part of or a disinformation campaign by the CIA or Mossad. Check out the article here.

Palestinian Minister of Information
At a time when politicians in more and more countries seem to regard public broadcasting as an unnecessary drain on funds, it's interesting to note that the Minister of Information in the new Palestinian administration is Nabil Amr. Amongst other things, he has served as director of the Palestinian Authority's Radio and Television Authority, and is a former director of the Voice of Palestine radio station. I imagine that budget cuts for broadcasting will not be at the top of his agenda :-)
