After a truly horrendous week, things are returning to normal here at the ol' homestead. I won't burden you with the details of the crash-n-burn of the last project, but it's been fun.
It is becoming summerlike here in SE Wisconsin, but it won't really be summer (solstices be damned) until next Thursday, when Milwaukee Summerfest begins down on the lake shore. A click on the link will let you see that it really comes close to being "The World's Greatest Music Festival." We've been talking about going since before we moved back. So of course, it'll probably be awful. But I will try to touch base here with reviews and such whenever I go.
The other big news in this household is that Bruce Springsteen is coming to Miller Park September 27. Last year we saw him at the Pepsi Center in Denver--that was my 7th time seeing Bruce live. Weather permitting, this'll be the first time I'll see him outdoors since he opened the "Born in the USA" tour at Alpine Valley in '84.
This weekend, It's going to be a Labor Fest. I'm planning to hit the Midwest gathering of the Industrial Workers of the World Saturday. On Sunday, it's a rally to support strikers at Tyson Foods in Jefferson.
