And Chile, actually. For the latest Thursday Morning Art Review by Bob White, click here.
Bob tells the story of his trip to Argentina and Chile with his new
friend, Ron, the driftboat fisherman from Michigan. (See last Thursday's post for comments on Part 1.) It's another great
adventure tale with a strong personal flavor and a message we all
should heed: "...every single day of our lives should be lived to its
fullest."
Amen to that, Bob. Check it out.
Speaking of living life to its fullest, I'm joining a group of friends
tomorrow for a dove hunt to kick off Labor Day Weekend. We'll meet for
lunch at Wern Valley Sportsmen's Club
in Waukesha, then head out to a yet-to-be-decide location to hunt.
Several groups were scouting today, opening day, and we'll pick the
most likely spot for good shooting over brats at Wern.
BTW, if you are not familiar with Wern Valley, Steve Williams has done
a great job with a family-owned chunk of some of the nicest real estate
in Waukesha County. I've seen the club mature from a youngster's
playground with a handful of members and an old shed for a clubhouse
into one of the finest shooting facilities in the state, with bird
hunting, sporting clays and pond fishing and a clubhouse that can cater
a large party in style. If you're looking for a club to join, check it
out.
I'll have a report on the dove shooting after tomorrow's outing.
Later...
