Rebecca's Blog
Mostly news stories or articles of interest in the future to me. I'll eventually get around to adding my own ideas and stories on a more regular basis.

I feel like I haven't been posting much substance lately.  I've been finding my job more and more demotivating by the day. I have an unresponsive/univolved boss.  I don't know what things are going on company wide...and, likewise, I would say no one knows what's going on with me.  It's weird for me because I am a hardworker. I'll get home sometimes and would want to get online and work, but if I think about it "mattering" I know it doesn't (regardless of how good it is) and so I don't do it.  Now, I know that's not a healthy attitude for someone who does want a good career, I'm just not positive how to combat it.  I need to feel like the things I do matter.  It's very important to me.

Agile concerns with responses.

Long, good article.  Good reminder of what it is:
The way to control and manage change is through discipline.  Most people think agile means little or no discipline, but to be able to pull off things like daily builds and 100 percent automated unit test code coverage take a lot of discipline.  There will have to be a configuration management/change control process in place and it will have to be followed.  If a decent process is in place, then things will work.  Otherwise, they won’t.
