I’m in an emotions-day mood. Lots of pain going on around me. It’s hard to not feel it, even if it’s not my own. So, I’m going to do my little quotes special:
Samuel Johnson. "Wine makes a man more pleased with himself; I do not say that it makes him more pleasing to others." – A good one for this time of year with lots of holiday parties. Drink up! Oh, wait, maybe not…
Anne Morrow Lindbergh. "Good communication is as stimulating as black coffee and just as hard to sleep after." – I love to listen/talk with someone and think to myself “that’s a really amazing person” and be reminded that there ARE good people in the world. It’s just difficult to find the people and know that’s true…and not just a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I do truly believe there are good people. Heck, I think I’m a good person. :)
Paxton Hood. "Be as careful of the books you read, as of the company you keep; for your habits and character will be as much influenced by the former as by the latter." – Hhmm. Interesting opinion. I guess I don’t really disagree. I like to read books that make me a better worker. Books that increase my creativity or my vocabulary. And, of course, books that make me feel good. But, what about people that don’t read books?
Zelda Fitzgerald. "[S]he refused to be bored chiefly because she wasn’t boring." – One to remember for the road.
