Mostly news stories or articles of interest in the future to me. I'll eventually get around to adding my own ideas and stories on a more regular basis.

I'm going to Costa Rica next month....if I don't burst before then from an over-abudance of happiness!  YAY!

The Book Thing is one of my favorite spots in Baltimore.  Looks like they're having trouble.  Of anyone knows of some free space in the area...it's a great cause.

I got one of those [slightly cheesy] e-mails this morning about how important our girlfriends are to us. And I sent it off to some of the women in the world who have played an important role in my life. However, I don't think think it's really necessary for me to send those for my girls to know I love them. I'm an open person. I'm not sure I ever wonder "does [x] know how much I care about them?" I tell people a lot. Dating and new friendships are harder 'cause you don't want the person to think you're a freak or be scared or whatever it is that they might think 'cause you're openly expressing your feelings. Regardless, my thought process still happens..."I'm so glad I met you because you've given me 100 random smiles throughout the day....."  I quite enjoy the getting to know new friends, but I adore the comfort of old...

I'm very, very fortunate that I do have the flow of friends in my life that are here. And hopefully many years ahead to meet other wonderful folks to talk with and love and know.

"I am never afraid of what I know."  - Anna Sewell

This has been a theme of conversation lately between me and a close friend.  She's convinced I gotta get better at being okay with the "not-knowing."  I don't like the thought of it.  I don't like to be the secondary decision when I don't know where the decision-holder stands.  Knowing makes me feel like I'm in control.  And I like to be in control of me.  Somehow, however, patience is the only way to work towards my goals in a sensible matter.

Working towards constant improvement...
