Very nice weekend so far.
Friday night:
--Good happy hour: Feel closer to some work folks. I don't know if any of them read this, so I won't say more.
--Fun karaoke (sung Skid Rowe with J-K. tee-hee and taught his drunken self to two-step). It was a hole-in-the-wall place with an oddly high percentage of good singers. One of my girls was the best there, of course.
Today:
--Tree-planting at Patterson Park this morning with my investment group; learned all the basics and helped get several in the ground and ready. It's a lovely park with lots of pups and goodness.
--K & I went to this wonderful park in Guilford which has hundreds of tulips in full bloom. I read some funny parts of this,"Lamb. The Gospell According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal" which is friggin' hilarious. Then we both napped for an hour. I only opened my eyes once, to see why this little girl was yelling to her grandpa that she 'needs some concentration'...turns out she was trying to climb a tree.
--We then headed over to the Hopkins Film Fest for some shorts...one was good, three were bad and one was odd 'cause it had this girl that looked an AMAZING amount like me; the most of any person ever. K's quote was "Yeah, she has freaky eyes like you do." Heh. Nice.
--Hung out with S. for yummy dinner and lots of B&N reading time. Tried to watch a movie, but my freaky eyes were too sleepy to read them so I'm home to shower and get back into this hilarious book for as long as I can.
I'm happily, happily content with my own mind chatter right now. I like the racing, funness of my thoughts when my mood feels this solid. I'm a lucky girl.
