Longhorn spin machine

So the Longhorn spin machine has started up again. Jim Allchin is out talking to bloggers (which by itself is not necessarily spin related -- it could be genuine - but Scoble reports that the initiative started with the Microsoft spin doctors -- Allchin didn't have the courtesy to phone Robert directly?). But Scoble is turning up the spin machine by blogging about it. Some of the high profile A list bloggers that were not involved in the dinner are commenting or should I say whining? I guess this is along the lines of any publicity is good publicity.

Suspiciously all this activity is happening right around WinHEC (where the Longhorn PR machine will be in full force no doubt), Apple's announcement of the impending release of its "Tiger" Longhorn competitor, and rumours of Longhorn's further delay until 2007.
