Greensboro's Engineering Director Butch Simmons is in denial about War Memorial Stadium according to today's N&R,  "If you read the (first) report, you wouldn't want to let anyone near it,"...  "When you read the second report, you see there's only these two problems that you have to look at." 

No, Mr. Simmons, the second report confirms the findings in the first report... read it again.  If, after another read you still think there are only two problems with the stadium, you are in the wrong business.

I was really looking forward to a quote from Assistant City Manager Mitch Johnson defending his decision to surpress the report in this morning's article.  Perhaps I will request his presence at Wednesday's Parks & Rec. Commission meeting.
