According to the New York Times, the White House has decided that the parody site The Onion should not be allowed to use the presidential seal, and has even gone so far as to send them a letter from their lawyers saying so.

Doesn't it just warm your heart to know that the government is spending time on this? Ironically, here are the two most recent stories on The Onion related to Bush.

And on the day when the US casualty count in Iraq broke 2000.

Seattle radio station KMTT this morning released a new CD of live recordings from their studios of visiting artists. Definitely worth picking up -- in western Washington Starbucks stores, or online here.

Microsoft Research has anounced another Request for Proposals for academic research and curriculum projects, related to the use of tablet computers in computing curriculum. Two tracks: one for specific projects, and another specifically for evaluation exercises to make sur ethat we're getting good information back on quantifying the value that technology is, or is not, adding to the learning experience. Altogether the team expects to award $500,000 of funding.
