Had a little typographical glitch entering all the HTML code in the previous post last night. Hope I didn't send ARC's Andy Chatha into orbit if he saw the original post that left two lines out of the text. I think this editor needs a preview pane before posting.

At any rate, attendees at this year's Forum had a lot of energy. There was much networking in evidence. We're just back from the annual boat cruise reception/dinner around Boston Harbor. Beautiful evening for a cruise.

I thought there might be considerably more announcements from suppliers today, but there was just one more. Citect, the Australian software supplier with a U.S. base in Alpharetta, GA, announced a new contract with Energizer Holdings who will implement Citect's MES IIM software. Executives including new CEO Richard Webb and Americas President Darren Trumeter briefed us on the outstanding growth in sales and profits the company has seen--both worldwide and in the US--over the past year. The company has been very quiet for the past year in terms of public visibility, but they assured us that the period of reorganizing is past and that we will hear much more from them in the future.

The theme of the forum is interoperability of applications with a focus on IT departments. From the sounds of the end users in attendance, much has been accomplished in this journey toward integration and interoperability. More to come as I digest the proceedings.
