Infor, the Atlanta-based ERP supplier, continues to grow via acquisition with the purchase of Extensity, a financial performance management company, and Systems Union Group, a UK-based provider of financial and performance management solutions. This is in addition to the earlier purchase of SSA Global. The company modestly bills itself as "the fastest growing enterprise software company in the world" with revenues now totalling $2.1 billion.

In something of a surprise, IBM announced it plans to acquire MRO Software for about $740 million. The company touts its acquisition's Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) that fits the IBM strategy. MRO is a supplier of industrial asset management software. IBM will build services solutions that enable clients to manage assets using a single, automated interface.
