I'm listening to the annual geek "gee whiz" keynote at NI Week led by R&D VP Tim Dehne. He led off with an acknowledgement of Bill Gates' new work with the Bill and Melissa Gates Foundation to make technology work for the betterment of humans worldwide.
Tim always discusses the technologies to watch. This year, he focused on multicore processors, PCI Express bus structure, USB, FPGAs, wireless, smart sensors (with TEDS and microprocessors embedded).
The first demo of Compact DAQ (a new product) was followed with a video from Snell Memorial, a non profit test center working to make better crash helmets using Compact DAQ.
