On my way home from a press conference in Los Angeles next week, I'll be stopping off in Chicago to appear on a panel discussion at the ISA Sales and Marketing Conference. If you haven't registered, yet, I'm sure you still can. And then you can get up early and throw stuff at me (along with four other industry editors--Walt Boyes, David Brousell, Greg Hale and Renee Robbins) at our 8 am Friday panel. We'll each throw out a tip or two (we each get about 10 minutes, I try for less) on working with editors (maybe a couple of sales pitches) then take on the questioners. The conference starts Wednesday, but I won't arrive until about 10:30 pm on Thursday.
And, yes, my wife has seen my September schedule and she's not thrilled. Especially last night when I did a soccer match as a last minute fill in. Tonight I'm at the University of Dayton, tomorrow Wittenberg. But I'm taking the rest of the weekend off. For the rest of the month, you can catch me at the Emerson Exchange in Dallas Sept 9-12, MESA in Orland Sept. 16-18, then to Germany for a Festo event Sept 22-27 followed by ISA October 2-4. So far I have Amit and Benson scheduled for an automation discussion at ISA. Any other takers? Where should we meet? Tuesday evening or Wednesday?
Have a good and safe Labor Day.
