To Dave Winer, regarding voting for Bugs Bunny:
Excuse me, Dave, but on the topic of "might as well vote for Bugs Bunny":
1-Bugs Bunny has, to my knowledge, never started a fight with ANYONE. He is always fighting exclusively in self-defense, and almost invariably by using the attackers force against him, ie, getting to run off a cliff, etc...
2-To the best of my knowledge, while he does occasionally engage in a ruse (ie, dressing up as women, little old men, kings, etc..) I've neverf known the wabbit to tell an outright lie
3- The wabbit is, for what it's worth, honorable, and I've never known him to show cowardice.
4-the wabbit does stand for something, unlike Gore. He stands for the victory of the underdog over overwhelming odds and the unreasonable oppression of the status quo or unjust authority. He's also, like me, from the lower east side, and he's done mighty good for himself.
Anyway, please refrain from making comparisons between Al Gore and the da Wabbit. Me and da wabbit go bback pretty far, he was in facgt one of my biggest role models, just in case you hadn't noticed.
