Why Diane? Part 2
A lot of people are still asking "Why Diane Sawyer?" Well, this is one more reason. There is some more detail here. The press are supposed to be impartial. This is why they are granted the protections that they are granted under our constitution and legal system. The broadcast medium, as well, is supposed to maintain impartiality. This is why they are granted the exclusive use of the airwaves as they are.

If a television personality like Diane Sawyer consistently shows a bias, she should lose her job. If her employer consistently shows a bias, they should lose their license.

Okay, I was supposed to have the Diane Sawyer info yesterday, and I still don't. I know, I stink. True enough.

As it turns out, my dear friend Theo is getting the info for PrimeTime Live, because not only is it not on until a week from this Thursday, but it is also not on AT ALL in this neck of the woods. See, I don't watch TV very much, so it took me until this morning to discover that we don't have an ABC affiliate in this town.

Now, I realize this should have been a no-brainer. I'm fifteen miles from Montpelier, and halfway up the side of a mountain, so I should have guessed that even though the show appears in the local TV guide, I might not be able to get any of the three channels that carry it hereabouts. Well, I get channels 33 and 97. That's it. Neither is an ABC affiliate.

So, to those others of you who care about this, I have a plea: Theo is committed to doing PrimeTime, Could some other concerned individual commit to doing Good Morning America, that is, getting up at Seven AM and writing down every product advertised during the entire two-hour show? Doesn't have to be all in one day, or anything. If you can't do the whole two hours, one is better than none. I'll do the addresses and the relevant persons at said corporations once I have the product and/or company data, and post the results here as soon as we have them. This is going to prove to be a little more work than I originally expected, but I really don't care. I think it has to be done, and further, having thrown down the gauntlet, I am not walking away. I am totally sick of ABC and FOX news's obvious bias, and it's time to do something about it. Sawyer and ABC are the easier target, so we pick the fight we can win.

Thanks in advance!

Joshua
