Semester's end [Posted by Kim] Hmmm...just got home from my last day of my Monday classes. The first term of my second degree is almost done...ahhh. Franken vs. Obama In Chicago [posted by Troy] Obama was on Al Franken's show, and Franken and Obama almost came to Fisticuffs, since they are competing for the same grammy award. Franken showed up at Borders on Michigan Avenue this past Friday to help me shop. Unfortunately, I have to meet some people at 6:30, so Al and I couldn't meet. But, that is a different thing. Up in Smoke No more [posted by Troy] By the way, for you non-Chicagoans, you may not have heard about the recent passage of a public smoking ban by the City of Chicago. Soon, there will be no more smoking in bars or restaurants. Chicago is just one of many cities to do this, but this has been a long political fight over the last several years.
