Three More Sleeps
Iris is off to Quebec City on Friday with her French class. The girl she's billeted with will then come to stay with us for a week in May. Iris has been chatting back and forth with her via email and MSN - she sounds like a neat kid with a great sense of humour. I'm really looking forward to meeting her.
Rotary Music Festival
It's music festival time again....starting this Friday and running throughout the week-end and all next week. I'm pretty stressed out about it this year - a lot of my students just don't seem to be ready. I keep wondering if I've done anything differently this time that would have caused this problem, but I don't think so. I find as each year passes, the kids just get more and more involved in multiple activities, and their practice time gets less and less. I almost feel like telling one or two of my kids that they shouldn't play. We'll see how things go at their lessons on Saturday. I think it's good that I'm going to be taking a break from teaching next year - it's not so much fun anymore.
