Projects and Babies
It's been a busy week. I went in to work yesterday morning very early to try to get a big project finished up. I got most of it done....still a couple of hours work left to do today. A friend wisely told me to go home yesterday afternoon, order a pizza for dinner, take a hot bath and go to bed. Most of that I did. But before I got to the bed part, I got a second burst of energy. I vacuumed the whole house, washed the kitchen floor - I even cleaned the oven! By the way I was acting, you'd think I was about to go into labour. Which reminds me of a story...

When I was nine month's pregnant with Jamie, I decided our bedroom needed painting. With Joe's help, I got all the painting done no problem. All that was left to do was to put the trim back on. Well, the following morning, at 7 a.m., I told Joe he needed to go to the hardware store 'right now' for nails for the trim. He looked at me like I was nuts. Couldn't it wait until later that day? I flew into a bit of a rage - no, of course it couldn't! This is something that needed to be done right away. He said, "You're going to have that baby today." I told him this had nothing to do with having a baby...I was just tired of sleeping in a room that was all torn apart. To his credit, he did go get the nails and we finished re-attaching the trim that afternoon. That evening of course, I went into labour.

Last night I noticed that our bedroom really needs to be painted again. Hmmmm, I hope there are no babies in the picture this time!
