Cervical Cancer Vaccine Shows Promise
Here is wonderful news for women from the cutting edge of medical research - but news that is also a little frustrating, as this vaccine is probably many years away from being widely available. In the meantime, while women wait for conventional medicine to provide answers and solutions, thousands will die.
Conventional Medicine is quite certain that cervical cancer is the result of infection with Human Papilloma Virus, or HPV. Conventional Medicine is also quite certain that by enhancing immunity to this virus lives can be saved. The Big Drug Companies have take up this cause, not out of any sense of altruism, but because they see big profits awaiting the developer of such a vaccine.
Alternative medicine on the other hand has been presenting a more balanced, and possibly equally effective solution for a very long time now. Immune enhancement through improved diet and nutrition, optimal dose vitamin supplementation, and immune stimulating herbs have all been shown over and over to protect against HPV and many other deadly diseases. So, here is the quandary: should women wait expectantly and hopefully for a vaccine to protect them from a deadly disease or should they take control of their health and their bodies by doing everything possible to strengthen and enhance their immune systems now?
I suggest that women waste no time in doing everything possible to protect themselves now, while we support the heroic efforts of our scientists.
