The road that we live on (Nan Dan Dong Lu) is under construction. Originally it was a two lane street, but after demolishing all the small shops it is now made into a six lane road, with both outside lanes reserved for bikes. Yesterday the workers were making concrete sidewalks that looked quite good until some guy stumbled out of a massage parlour right through the fresh concrete. Anyway, they filled that up yesterday evening, so I assumed everything would be finalized today. So to my surprise I woke up this morning with the sound of a drill going through concrete. What happened? The water drainage system was also filled with concrete, so they could start all over again. And tonight while walking back home I noted some new holes in the concrete: they forgot to connect some elecricity cables as well.
