Married with Children I had a nice Italian dinner with Qi tonight on Hengshan Lu. After that we planned to go out to Park 97, but the good food and drinks made us suddenly feel so tired that we decided to postpone that. So we went to buy a movie in my favourite DVD shop (corner of Yongjia Lu and Hengshan Lu) instead, to watch that at home. In the video shop I was very surprised to see Season 1-3 for Married with Children on DVD. This used to be my favourite show in my last year of high school and first years of university in Holland. I did not watch much TV during that time (still not), but this show I never missed. It has probably been about 15 years since I watched it, so it will probably be really dated, but I still look forward to see shoe salesman Al Bundy and his family again. Never seen the show? Al Bundy is a misanthropic women's shoe salesman with a miserable life. He hates his job, his wife is lazy, his son is dysfunctional (especially with women), and his daughter is dimwitted and promiscuous. Good ingredients for a great comedy. Other DVD[base ']s we bought: the first season of Desperate Housewives, Will & Grace season 5, and the movie Sideways. We plan to watch Sideways tonight, a comedy that has won two golden globes this year (incl. Best picture in the category musical and comedy). 11:35:04 PM    comment []
