Episode 4 'Yeah, I was just ringing because I can't install an application on my machine.'
'Really?' I ask. 'What application?'
'Oh that's not important, but what is important is that I don't seem to have Administrator access to my machine.'
'Yes, that's right, no-one does. Well, that's not completely true, myself and my assistant do..." Ya just gotta love the BOFH - Read on... - 10:10:31 PM
- Get on the blog map
-
Are you on the blog map yet? Read about it over on Chandu Thota's blog. He just updated it to version 2.0. Everyone listed on there at the time I published this seemed to be a Microsoft employee from various parts of the planet.
Good ideas know no bouds so even though it came from MS, I opted to join the map as well (yea, bet they'll REALLY love this blog over there! :-) Regardless, good job Chandu.

Ad blog starts up, discussing SuperBowl ads: "
Marc Orchant and crew have started an 'ad blog': AdJab. They are talking about the SuperBowl ads.
Mary Hodder says she Tivo'd the game so that she could take a walk (very smart it's BEAUTIFUL in California right now). She's gonna fast forward to WATCH the commercials! Heh. My wife would enjoy that too. She doesn't like football.

- Interesting interview with Bill Gates
-
"The Bad Boys are also Terribly Clever"
Microsoft founder Bill Gates, 49, talks about the thorny issues of computer security, competition, software bundling and how he lives with the downsides of his wealth and fame. In addition to being the world's richest man, Gates is the founder of the world's most powerful software company.
It's refershing to see an interview with Gates where the interviewer isn't just casually lobbing him softball questions that he's already answered numerous times before. You also have to respect the fact that Bill G took the time to do an interview like this. Anything beside the typical droll PR that we usually get out of Microsoft is refreshing. Who knows, they might just be getting a clue and reading the Hughtrain! Yea... well, probably not.

- Introducing "Pocket Wars"
-
Hmmm, I was obsessing over the wrong company. Let's see, Sony comes out with a portable game machine and takes the industry by storm. Olympus today advertises a device that plays music and takes pictures and looks pretty cool.
I bet that by the end of the month Business Week will write an article titled: 'Pocket Wars.' Who'll be interviewed? Peter Rojas of Engadget, of course.
My son is sitting here playing with Maryam's niece and nephew. He has a Nintendo DS.
What will be in YOUR pocket?

- New RSS aggregator released for Outlook
-
You Software has an RSS News Aggregator, named 'You Subscribe' that plugs into Outlook.
Anyone compare this to NewsGator? I have been using NewsGator so long it'd be hard for me to switch to anything else (and I love NewsGator's online services, which are free now).
They claim that it's easier to subscribe to feeds with their product. They also claim that it works offline so you don't need to wait for a feed scan when you startup Outlook (I don't find that to be that big a deal, personally, because I usually can't keep up with NewsGator's aggregator anyway).
