Nosce te ipsum

A little perspective Lot's of interesting things going on in the world today but for a few tense hours, everything seemed to fade out of focus as I learned that my friend and co-worker of many years Steve Brodsky was in fact the missing snow shoer that was reported missing Saturday night near Abyss Lake in the Mount Evans wilderness here in Colorado. His identity was just revealed a few hours ago and shorly after, news came out that a helicopter had spotted 'someone' in that area who was waving at them with an emergency blanket. Literally minutes ago the helicopter was able to touch down and they confirmed that it was indeed Steve - and he was alive.

I've never had anything like this happen before and I just thank God that Steve is alive today. He's got 2 teenage sons and is about to get married and is one hell of a fine human being. There's not a lot of details at the point but all of us here are sure glad that you are ok. Come home soon Steve! More... | Update (2/22/05) - Steve is now safe and doing fine thanks to the efforts of everyone involved in the search and rescue operation. Thanks God, you spared a good man.
