- The iTunes 5 Announcement From the Perspective of an Anthropomorphized Brushed Metal User Interface Theme
John Gruber is absolutely on fire with this one. John doesn't frequently do all out comedy pieces but if this is any indication, he should.
Brushed Metal throws his phone into the passenger side door. He punches the padded center of his steering wheel.
A few seconds later, the phone rings. Brushed Metal picks it off the passenger seat and looks at the caller ID. It reads: AQUA. Brushed Metal takes the call.
Brushed Metal: What do you want?
(Its not yet 10 a.m., but Aqua is drunk.)
Aqua: Howdya fuckin like it now, bee-yotch? WHOO HOO!
Brushed Metal: Fuck you, Aqua.

- Steve Jobs to Studios: I Got the Power!
By way of NIVI, a really interesting piece about not only what was said, but the more juicy implications of what was implied during the recent Apple event earlier this week.
Steve Jobs to Suppliers: I Buried the Competition!
Steve Jobs to Phone Companies: Can you see my Middle Finger now?
Steve Jobs: Welcome to my Monopsony.
NIVI is new me but I'll certainly be paying attention to what they have to say in the future and I encourage you to do the same.

- Great UI design blog
Today Scoble points to an interesting new blog on effective UI design which is interesting primarily because the author probes the issue from the perspective that no one platform is the the one to measure all others against, but instead he sheds no mercy and picks on everyone equally.
Recent critiques include Google Maps and the Windows Login screens. Thanks to this Scoble for linking to this, I tend to read a lot of design focused blog but had not yet seem this one.
