So, I am still playing around with my blog behind the scenes. I have been fortunate to find a blogger out there who has been kind enough to assist me with some simple design queries and assistance. I am still working on this, but any upcoming changes are due in part to her assistance.

It is with this posting I thank Sexy Magick for her assistance. I am not looking to do anything fancy, but just make things flow much easier on my main page.

Aside from that, anyone have any recommended resources for working with and tweaking their Radio Userland weblog? That's what I get for being behind the curve. ;-)

So, today began my last day of work for 2004.  Due to a confluence of events, I had a bunch of leave I had to use before the end of the year.  At the university, we can only carry 400 hours of leave from year to year.

Thus, in addition to the week I have off between Christmas and New Year's, I have the next two weeks off.  I am still trying to figure out what to do during those two weeks.  I have some Christmas stuff to take care of, and I may go down to the beach to see my grandfather and other members of my family for a couple of days.  I will also be seeing them for the holidays as well, so we will see what happens.

In one sense, it is good that it is the end of the year.  I have truly reached my wit's end at my current job.  I have enjoyed my time there, but I find a lot of things are grating on me.  Even with the end of the interminable email project, I just dislike my job.  I am ready to move on.  I am working on it, but it is something that is taking longer than I had hoped.  I think I may take some of my time off to work on my job search.

So, any suggestions as to what else I should do for the rest of the year?

This weekend, I went with some friends to the BB&T Classic at the MCI Center in Washington.  It was fun.  Essentially, it is a local tournament pitting the University of Maryland, George Washington University and two other invited schools.  This year, the other schools were George Mason University and Michigan State University

In the first round on Saturday, Maryland quickly dispatched the George Mason Patriots.  Michigan State, on the other hand was upset by the GW Colonials.

My friend and I were a bit tired on Sunday--following our football game, we had no desire to drive back down to Washington.  So, we watched it from the comfort of our post-football game bar, Captain Larry's.  In following with my all-around crappy sports-day, the Terps lost, much like the Ravens did earlier in the day.  Of course, the day was begun with a loss by our football team.

After a few days respite, I am back to posting to my blog.  I had a weekend full of stuff to do, and then it was back to work.
