Pink Floyd to Play Live 8 Show BBC NEWS: "Veteran rock band Pink Floyd have been added to the list of acts appearing at next month's Live 8 concert in London. Roger Waters will be reunited with band-members Dave Gilmour, Nick Mason and Rick Wright for the show." When Bob Geldof, at the Live 8 press conference, talked about a certain band being in talks to reunite for the London concert, most assumed that he meant the Spice Girls. Well, thankfully that doesn't look like it is going to happen. I've been to Waters' solo concerts and to post-Waters Floyd concerts - all of which were enjoyable but, together, Pink Floyd were always greater than the sum of their parts. I'm likely to be in Berlin for Live 8 - hopefully there will be a relay of the London concert. This is fantastic news! 4:08:33 PM    comment []  trackback []
