Regina Lynn, Wired: A recent column about do-it-yourself teledildonics inspired many of you to e-mail me about your own experiments with improvisational sexual props.

Most of the responses were of the banana-and-watermelon variety, à la Homemade Sex Toys. But not all. One engineering student admitted in the Sex Drive forum that he has developed a new interface for an Xbox vibrating pad. For what purpose, he didn't say.

Courier Mail: In the mid-to late 1990s, porn king Greg Lasrado was driving a $500,000 black Lamborghini Diablo and living in a slick home in Berry St, Paddington, after spending $7 million acquiring a penthouse and two exclusive units at the just-released Palazzo Versace on the Gold Coast  . . .

Independent: Men say they are as romantic as women but expect to sleep with more partners, according to the biggest online survey of sexual attitudes and gender differences. The results of a survey of 250,000 men and women who completed a detailed psychological questionnaire reveal that many male and female stereotypes are deep-seated and biological.

Australian: High earners of both genders boast an increased libido over their poorer colleagues, but only the wealthy men end up having more sex.

As their incomes rise, men and women are more likely to have a higher sex drive, according to a study of almost 30,000 people from 170 countries - the largest survey of its kind.

Reuters: A new documentary television series Hooking Up follows 11 New York women navigating the pitfalls of online dating in a show that one reviewer calls "hard-core voyeurism."

The ABC News show, a cross between the hit comedy "Sex and the City" and a reality TV show, shines a light on the increasingly popular American pastime and pulls no punches.

Mail & Guardian: Thin Sandar, a chicken-seller in Myanmar, had always dreamed of being a man. When she inexplicably grew a penis last month, the 21-year-old treated it as an awe-inspiring omen -- as have the thousands of stunned villagers who have travelled to a pagoda to see him.

"On the morning of the full moon day of June 21, I noticed my thing [sex organ] was not the same as before," Thin Sandar, who now goes by the male name Than Sein, said in an interview at his home.

Guardian: "If I wasn't so into tits I probably could've been a great film-maker," Russ Meyer once ruefully announced. But he was a great film-maker: "the rural Fellini". The 23 anguished, contorted films he made, such as Mudhoney and Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! are passionate, piss-taking and profound - "kicking the crap out of convention!" as one of his ear-splitting trailers put it.

gadgetryblog: One for the ladies! I'm very sure that the 'mesmerising' Audi-Oh ($69.95) is the first vibrator that vibrates to the beat of music or any external sounds. And, the pearl-shaped clitoral vibrator has a soft elastic harness shaped as a butterfly that allows you to strap it in place. The Audi-Oh will then vibrate to music coming from your stereo or directly from your iPod.

About: The sixties were the great decade of Bert Stern as a fashion factory. Stern was an art director turned advertising photographer who shot his first work for Vogue in 1959. His large studio business closed in 1971, although Stern continued in photography.

Art Kane started in photography in 1959. Among other achievements, he was one of the few fashion photographers at the time to successfully follow the lead of Bill Brandt's 'Perspective of Nudes', in his dynamic use of a wide-angle lens close to the subject.

The Standard: Reidy's one-line summation of his experience as a rookie drug peddler is: "Unmotivated guy stumbles into coveted industry, then - despite lousy sales numbers - gets promoted into elite division selling the most talked-about pill of all time.''

Contact Music: Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz told Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday she is proud of the way her breasts looked in the infamous 1992 John Rutter photo shoot.

The  star, who accuses Rutter of attempting to sell the revealing images back to her for $3.3 million (GBP1.9 million) in 2003, may have "felt violated" by the photographer's alleged bid to extort money, but she was thrilled with the way the snaps came out.

Seattle Times: Remember when Viagra first came on the market? The spokesman was Bob Dole, veteran, Senate leader and prostate-cancer survivor who urged other men to talk to their doctors about erectile dysfunction. The slogan was: Courage.

Fast-forward through the millennium. The spokesman now is a hunky 40-something guy with a two-day-old beard and a slogan that says: "Keep that spark alive."

Mirror: Sacked phone sex-video blonde Heather Muirhead is flat broke and sleeping in a tent with her boyfriend.

But the 21-year-old is vowing to fight her dismissal from her £13,000 job as a DVLA clerk - still insisting she was not the person who circulated to 300 workmates the video images on her mobile of her and Lee Jones making love.

Stuff: Since the late '80s, the Taschen catalogue has been a singular blend of art and porn.

Not only does the company produce handsome books on Van Gogh, Seurat, Toulouse-Lautrec, Picasso, Cezanne and other celebrated artists, it also publishes the homoerotic drawings of Touko Laaksonen (alias Tom of Finland), the photographs of fetishist Elmer Batters, who was obsessed with women's feet and legs in seamed nylons, and the "digital diaries" of Natacha Merritt, who records her sex life in tireless detail.

Seattle Times: There's someone you're very close to at work. There's a lot of sexual energy in the air, but no sex is involved. You're buddies. You tell each other everything. You depend on each other.

"Welcome to what we might call the 'office spouse' phenomenon," said Tina Louise Chadwick, a contributing editor to Worthwhile magazine.
