Book reviews from 'Get Your Paws on a Good Book' participants.
By These Ten Bones by Clare Dunkle: I loved the names used and it's a good quick read.
Queen's Play by Dorothy Dunnett: The second book about Francis Crawford of Lymond is set in France and loaded with French quotes and Queen Mary of Scotland at age 8. It's harder to follow than her first book about Lymond as he plays someone else in most of the book while protecting friends, family, and little Mary. The characters of O'Liam Roe, Prince of Ireland, and Oonagh O'Dwyer are both worth further books. Robin Stewart is one more cross Lymond will bear.
25 Ways to Win with People: by John C. Maxwell: This is a wonderful book. Truly without realizing the value of the people around us, we simply can't win.
Sign of the Qin by L.G. Bass: I love this book, but I'm also one of those people who love Chinese mythology and legends.
