Book Reviews from participants in the Pollinate Your Mind Summer Reading Club
Children of Chaos by Dave Duncan: A good read. Like most of Duncan's other series-he avoids cliché storylines and provides some originalities. The characters are pretty shallow, though.
Wife for Hire by Janet Evanovich: Nice easy read-good book for a lazy day at the beach.
Rocky Mountain National Park by Frommer's: Best guide book around for any trip you take-choose Frommer's guides. I always go to the library and research the area I vacation in. They have the best ideas for fun and adventure.
Runaway Jury by John Grisham: This book is about a jury run amok! The story tells you how a certain person can get his personal views to make the trial come out the way he wants it to.
Latitude Zero by Gianni Guadalupi: Easy to read. A "reader's guide" version of many epic tales of history. Many stories contain a wealth of detail.
Sisterchicks go Brit by Robin Jones Gunn: Light reading. There is no major plot, just a couple of friends on an adventure. Good book for those days when you don't want to think too much (like a beach day).
Coming of the Kid by Oakley Hall: This book was truly bizarre.
Lines in the sand: new writing on war and peace edited by Mary Hoffman: This book talks about real issues. It works on your emotions and is very touching.
Classic outboard motors handbook by Peter Hunn: This is a real nice book on old outboards. Very good information and hints if you like this stuff like I do.
Raintree: Haunted by Linda Winstead Jones: Funny, enthralling! Good read, couldn't put it down, almost late for work in order to finish it.
