Buenos Aires, Argentina (Dec. 11, 2005) – Argentina's Rafael Gomez shot an impressive 9-under par 63 to hold the outright lead after the opening round of the inaugural Roberto De Vicenzo Classic. Gomez made ten birdies and only one bogey to rip the course at San Eliseo Golf & CC, home of the thirteenth event of the 2005 Tour de las Americas' season.
