A Summer Day in Alaska
It was a gorgeous day out and about that started with a first in Anchorage---the first ever legislature meeting outside of Juneau, whether in Anchorage or any other place in the state. I arrived at 10:30 just as they were taking a break. I felt strongly that they know that we citizens were interested in seeing what they do.
At noon I went to the summer music event at the library---Live at the Library. Anchorage Opera presented professional basses, Torrie Allen and Roland Burks, in song in the premiere performance of the duo. Great music, marvelous sun and warmth, and majestic mountains as a backdrop.

Mid-afternoon Husband and I drove down to Seward for dinner at Ray's.
The view from our table at Ray's.

To top off the day we listened to the Mariner's game on the way home---they won!
