Tooling around: Looking at the success of sms as a cultural means of communicating person2person, it makes imminent sense to create a Radio tool that allowa publishing to a predetermined list of sms numbers. Perhaps even a subscription interface.......

When we bought our house in Amsterdam it had many modern features that I would never think of installing myself, but was always happy to have a fully automatic urinal, bulletproof glass windows, full climate control and fm transmitter for audio, just to name a few of the gadgets. We were also impressed with the Swedish toilets: You sit and the 'odor-fan' kicks in immediately. A button on the side 'irrigates' with warm water, followed by warm air to dry you off.
Go ahead and laugh all you want, but now you too can own your own Curry Commode at a fraction of the price! This model straps-on to your existing seat for hours of hygienic fun.

Weblogs in education: "Decentralisation is the answer. Radio Userland, for example, has shown that you
can 'have your cake and eat it'. Powerful publishing to the web and much more
besides, direct from your desktop server, without overburdening a centalised
server. I think this is the next generation educational tool - decentralised,
user friendly and powerful."

Kabul mob kills Afghan minister. The Afghan civil aviation minister is beaten to death by a crowd of
pilgrims stranded at Kabul airport for two days because of flight
delays. Reports suggest that the some of the pilgrims were enraged when a rumour spread that Mr Rahman was about to divert their plane to take his family to India. That should make folks driving around like idiots with those blasted diplomat license plates think twice about their behaviour as well eh?

Goodmorning from Amsterdam, we're looking at a potentially beautiful weekend here. Blue skies, but chilly for sure.
Drinking my morning tea as I scan through weblogs.com I wonder where the xml feed is in moveableType and blogger.com weblogs. I'm always a bit sad when I find a great blog but no way to subscribe. I guess I'll check out the stapler tool for radio.
I discovered a new trend Perhaps I just bever noticed, but more blogs seem to be using strike-out tags to show [humorous] thought trails while writing. Digital Whiteout.
Speaking of Whiteout, have you ever looked at this Whitehouse Spoof Site, If only the official site were this funny. BTW, please note that freedom in America is exactly what allows this silliness. Its a good thing!
