Too much sun and not enough bandwidth has inspried me to write some thoughts that gelled during our vacation. You can follow along with my thoughts as I structure them in my instant outline. Radio required.

Was just checking out Teoma, the search engine Ask Jeeves bought last year. I own ASKJ stock, which went from astronomical highs during the hype to under a buck. Lately it's been rising, over $2 now. The new search service looks a lot like google UI-wise, but clearly uses different technology. One major problem, it mangles urls it finds that are stored in frontier's story reader format. So even though it finds the pages (see thie results for a search on adam curry helicopter) clicking on the link results in a 404! I sure hope someone there is listening, 'cause this is major league lame.

Somebody finally got it right. In fact, until now, it seemed that nobody had addressed a basic design flawof the average hair dryer's curvaceous body, which made setting one down on the edge of a sink or vanity almost impossible.
