[A community type question... I still read people's webpages because there's an editorial element that gets lost in the newsfeeds. When looking at someone's page, the order of the stories is often significant, those at the top more important, those down below less so. Etc. Of course, this doesn't apply to everyone because not everyone controls this, it can simply be the chronological order in which the stories were posted. Also, there's other information to be gleaned. Side projects, recommened sites, flotsem, jetsom. Do you still look at the page? Or do you rely entirely on the feeds?]
Sheila asks: "I wonder if it's worth posting crocus pictures year after year." [I think the answer is yes. Take a different picture, angle, lighting, etc. Make it as much fun to do as it is to see the crocuses bloom every year... Think about how cool it could be to look back at fifty years of crocus blooming pictures! (Especially if there is a little breadcrumb about what was different in your life this year.)]
[I knew Mark would get around to this. I knew it would be worth waiting for his comments. I wasn't wrong.]
Dave: "Last night at a party in Portola Valley I met a man who collects tanks and fire engines. He even has his own Scud missle and a mobile launcher. Nice." [Posts like this must make the anti-gun crowd quiver with upset :~)]
