RFC3275: XML-Signature Syntax and Processing. "This document specifies XML (Extensible Markup Language) digital signature processing rules and syntax. XML Signatures provide integrity, message authentication, and/or signer authentication services for data of any type, whether located within the XML that includes the signature or elsewhere." *

[In a flash of insight I realized that yesterday I had spelled the word "irk", "erk". "Gah" as Al would say. I want to know what neuron got so looped that it took this long to notice, and worst of all, I wasn't reading the page when it fired. Strange sort of thing to happen at dinner. Fixed. :~)] *

Wireless to get faster, more secure - Tech Ne.... "Atheros Communications on Monday began shipping the first silicon chip that uses a new wireless networking standard known as 802.11g." and "We want to make it very clear: (802.11g) is not done," said Atheros Chief Executive Rich Redelfs. "What we've essentially done is take the part of 'G' that we think is stable." *

[What do you sip out of OPML coffee mug? Never a dull moment over at Dave's.] *

Google Search Technology. "PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page's value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves 'important' weigh more heavily and help to make other pages 'important.' "

Russ Lipton: Of Weblogs, Websites and RCS. "It's all Net to me."

Radio UserLand : New feature: Titles and Links in Radio-generated RSS. [Is there a Radio API? Apparently not. Interesting.]

Hack the Planet Prime: did someone say jihaddict? "Even though Glenn broke the story about upgrading an RG-1100 with AirPort software, he doesn't get the point either." [So what is it?] *

[It's a slow morning here. Up late, trying to pull together all the threads. I'm going for a walk. It's blustery and cold, but I'm in the mood for that...]

Moving WebWord > Web Sites That Heal. "The first purpose of this article is to explain the true causes of linkrot. The second purpose is to outline a new way to solve the linkrot problem." [Interesting. I like the concept. One of the things that keeps me from revamping older material is the linkrot issue. There always comes a point where it is more bother to keep the old URLs... I'm about to go through one of those stages I think... great link Dave!] *
