[Daniel's second rule of software development. "Zero known bugs" means "I haven't looked hard enough."] *

Cnotes.Phrasewise.Com : Lunch and Learn. "Every now and then, he'll pick up a magazine at the table and tell us "I'm reading a cookbook!" "Oh yeah?" we ask. "What are you going to make?" "Chicken!" he announces proudly. Oh good. I don't have to cook tonight."

Dave: The strategy of Radio Community Server.

New Developments, Old Friends *

[First post to Conversant. There's more work to do, but things are moving along.]

Frontier ODBC Extension. "The ODBC Extension allows a Frontier user to easily write cross-platform scripts for connecting Frontier to any ODBC compliant database system such as Oracle, Sybase, MS SQLServer, Access, mySql, or anything with an ODBC driver for your platform." [New version supports OS X and bug fixes for large datasets, etc.] *

SpicyNoodles: PostgreSQL Extension for Frontier. "Implemented an easier-to-use high-level interface for executing queries and retrieving query results... Query parameters and result sets are converted transparently between UserTalk and PostgreSQL data types and vice versa. Implemented connection pooling: The extension optionally manages a pool of connections to the database backend for you." *

Secure Server for Frontier and Radio. "Macrobyte is pleased to announce that a secure web server is in development for Radio UserLand and UserLand Frontier. Early pre-release versions have already been tested successfully. A public, time-limited beta version will be available in late March." *

[BEOS has changed its stock symbol. The company will now be listed as BEOSZ. Sigh.]
