Drivel: I really must focus on something else besides my work. I am finding that they things that make me money I want are not the things that I truly enjoy. Or, at the very least, these things are thankless. There is something wrong about a world that rewards you more for something you do well and do not enjoy than doing something well that you do enjoy. 11:00:39 PM

Drivel: My project took a turn for the worse today. The guy I have been working with here at AT&T Wireless walked off of the project just out of the blue. He has been having trouble with the technology and getting his head around the concepts, but it was nothing that he could not have overcome. I know he was dealing with some stuff at home that he could not seem to manage remotely. This was also his first real consulting project. I chaulk this one up to another consulting casualty. When consulting at a client's site like this, you have to have things under control at home and have your family's complete support in order to totally focus on delivering value for the client. This is hard enough to do on any given day, let alone under the pressure of expectations from the client and the company you are working for. I know I would not be doing this type of work if I had kids or had a wife that did not understand this kind of work. 10:55:17 PM
