Drivel:  These guys are masters at manipulating perception.  Personally, I do not believe some of these numbers.  The cuts to employees and salaries have been much deeper in certain places than the averages that they are reporting here.  Accenture's plan is to gut its middle management from new and mid-level managers on up to Associate Partners and bring in new Analysts, right out of college, in entry-level positions in order to maintain their numbers.  They cannot keep this up for long before clients start realizing they are getting screwed.  Some already are.  I have knowledge of specific cases that I cannot post here.  The upper level management, Partners on up, enter bloody battles on a daily basis with each other just to keep their own jobs.  Accenture's CEO has encouraged this as a way to weed out the weak.  Accenture is a modern day gladiator academy where the skills that are developed have little relevance outside of the coliseum.

## Accenture Posts Quarterly Profit. Accenture, the world's largest computer and business consultant, had a fourth-quarter profit as cuts in salaries offset a 3.1 percent decline in sales. By Bloomberg News. [New York Times: Technology]  2:05:46 AM   comments ()

Drivel:  I am heading home this weekend.  This is a much needed trip after the past couple of weeks.  These weeekends home are what keep me going when I am away from home for so long.  1:52:07 AM   comments ()

Drivel:  It has been a very busy week.  My project in Seattle is starting to wrap up very nicely with the prospect of follow on work.  A number of other opportunities are starting to develop as well.  My career as a Free Angent is beginning to blossom.  1:27:40 AM   comments ()
