Drivel: I am reading Leadership, by Rudi Giuliani. In chapter three he talks about holding everyone accountable all of the time. The way he found to do this was through real-time (or as real-time as they can get) data collection systems that generate key statistics for each agency. This is a prime example of a real-time enterprise, but it is a real-time government. You can see all of the city agencies that are a part of the Citywide Accountability Program and the statistics they make public here. 9:40:35 PM

Drivel: For the amount that I am flying, you would think that I would be accumulating more frequent flyer miles than I am. I guess it feels farther than it actually is, especially after driving the route that I fly. It kind of puts a different perspective on things. 9:33:05 PM

Drivel: Back in Seattle. Not surprises upon my return, which is highly unusual but very, very good. 9:31:13 PM
