Like a skipping CD, or a stuck album (remember those?)

Can't upstream because "Can't write stream because the TCP connection was closed unexpectedly."

It's not that I don't know some tricks to try to force Radio to do what is minimally expected. It's that I have had to use them so flippin' often, lately...

Oh, the stories you'll be able to tell the grandchildren...

We were to have a grand family event today. We were going to the zoo.

On the way there, we got stuck in some evil traffic jam that added over an hour to our trip. When we finally got to the zoo, it had just closed. People were flowing out of the gate, and there was an elephant with its handlers near the entrance which served as a perfect distraction while SHE and I briefly huddled up. The handlers would toss the elephant monkey chow kibble (since it is "made for herbivores and is easy to handle -- don't even have to break 'em up") to keep it docile, and the mancub enjoyed watching it eat.

We were stuck. We would've had a very unhappy mancub on our hands. Very. Unhappy. We had been dangling the trip to the zoo over him as a behavioral carrot for more than a day now, and his mood was already oh-so-pleasant from being in the traffic jam, too. So we did what I think many parents would have done if faced with that situation...

We snuck in.

Yup. The whole family. We took in some of the exhibits for a little over half an hour, and then when the mancub was dragging from doing so much walking, we left quietly.

We had just joined hands, and boldly walked right through the gate. There was some special event going on, so it's not like there weren't other people in there anyway, and we just casually blended in... Quit shaking your head. Hey, look, at least I didn't go Clark Griswald on anyone, and take some hostages so we could sit on the rides.

And yes, I will be sending in a donation that will more than cover our admission fees. And if you don't have kids of your own, you have no clue about how situational your ethics can become. Just you wait...
