The New iMac

The keynote was fairly interesting although a bit garbled image-wise. At least sound came through without any glitches the whole time. The new iMac (page hasn't updated yet as I link to it) is pretty sweet and the new iPhoto software package looks pretty nifty as well. I hope I can download it at some point today.

It would have been cool if Apple had announced the wireless screen or PDA that people have been speculating about, but overall I was plenty happy with everything we were shown today. I haven't purchased a new Mac in over 2 years now and a desktop Mac in over 3 years, but the new iMac definitely has me thinking about a purchase again.

9 Minutes And Counting

Well, we're just a few minutes away from the introduction of the flat panel iMac and hopefully other cool stuff Apple will be introducing today. I was actually kind of disappointed to discover last night that Time Canada had already spilled the beans and pre-empted Steve Jobs on the new iMac. It's definitely very, very cool.

Guess I'd better see if I can tune in.

January Warmth

It's been unseasonably warm and rainy the last couple days. I like it. Looks like this weather will last at least another day or so too.

Well, time to get productive. Joel Spolsky: Fire and Motion
