Rainer Brockerhoff's freeware Zingg! 1.1 is a freeware contextual menu that shows a list of all applications that claim to open the selected file. It now resolves symbolic links prior to checking for duplicate entries in the application list, has an option to show full pathnames in the menu (with Caps Lock), an improved installer with uninstall options, Sherlock support, and other enhancements. [174 KB] [osx.macnn.com]

This looks really handy. I'm going to have to try it out now.

I've been playing with the news aggregator a bit more today and added a few more subscriptions. Radio is some seriously cool software- no doubt about it!

'Bionic eye' could aid the blind. Technology developed in space is being used to create implants which might one day be able to restore some sight to some blind patients. [BBC News: sci/tech]

Sounds like a really cool breakthrough. It'll be interesting to see if this technology develops to the point where it actually outperforms human vision. Who can say what we'll be able to do 10-20 years from now.

Radio, Radio

The new Manila Blogger Bridge Tool is out for Radio Userland, but I haven't got it working yet. I think I have to install a couple Perl libraries maybe so that my Movable Type installation will support that functionality. Ah, well. It can wait until tomorrow. I'm pretty tired.
