Hmmm. Look at all the Movable Type stuff on the Fairvue finalist list. What does this mean? I wish I knew. It sure would be interesting to see the number of votes each of the finalists got. As I understood it these nominations were supposed to be By The People. I would be interested in seeing the actual numbers. Not one Manila or Radio site got nominated. Not a single one. Interesting. Uh, oh. Dave is going to piss off some anti-Dave webloggers out there with that comment. I think the reason that you see a lack of Manila or Radio site's could be due to a lot of factors, but weblog tool communities could be one of them. That is to say that there are different spheres of weblogs that revolve around their tools of choice. There's certainly some crossover, but not enough that you're going to see a lot of voting outside your tool's circle of users. Dave seems to have toned down his comment about the Fairvue awards now. 11:02:09 PM     I want to get cracking on importing all my Axodys entries, but unfortunately tonight is not a good night for UserTalk fun. I've got practice followed by women's Olympic Hockey down at the Arena. Not a lot of time for hacking. Curses! Cool! I just verified that the Radio Userland glossary does indeed function. It'd be nice if there was a web interface, but I'm quite happy just to have it. 3:44:06 PM     High Speed on Verizon's Horizon. High-speed mobile services weren't supposed to come to the United States for quite a while, but Verizon Wireless is expected to announce the establishment of a service soon. By Elisa Batista. [Wired News] Interesting, looks like Sprint PCS may have some competition on this front sooner than anyone thought. 12:48:29 PM     3 Year And 1000 Posts Later Today is the 3rd Anniversary of Axodys. It's hard to believe that it's been three years and roughly 1000 posts since I started doing this crazy weblog thing. Some of the most significant events of my life to date have occurred during this three year span and to a limited extent they've been documented here on these pages for anyone and everyone to see. I asked out, dated and finally married my wife. My dad died of cancer. I helped coach Ferris varsity boys basketball teams that finished 2nd at state two out of the last three years, and three different league winning Ferris JV teams that together combined for two losses over the course of 60 games. I travelled to Washington D.C. twice, Disneyland twice, and Phoenix/Tempe twice over this span as well. And I'm probably forgetting some other significant events that I'll add if they come to me later. Of course Axodys isn't just about me and the events of my life. I've also used it as a notepad for topics I'm interested in like Mac computers, MacOS X, Sports, Programming, Movies, the Web, and a variety of other topics that show up in the news. I've also written countless times about how I planned to do a redesign and never quite gotten around to completing any. Hopefully I'll get my act together in that regard soon. So where does Axodys go from here? For now, pretty much the same way it's always gone. I will continue to write about things that are going on in my life and things that I'm interested in. I do intend to move my site and old entries out of Movable Type and over to Radio Userland, but I'm not sure what the timeframe on that will be. At any rate, here's to three good years. As well as he's been playing offensively lately I was surprised to see that Shadle Park's Bishop had only scored 2 points; I guess defense has always been his primary role anyway. University continued their second half turn around with a nail biting win over North Central.
