This was posted to a neighborhood list that I monitor:

We're going away for a month next week and need someone to check on our house:

1) Sweep the leaves off the driveway and sidewalk on Wednesdays for trash pickup Thursdays.

2) Make sure no deliverys are left on porch.

3) Water some plants if it doesn't rain.

Good easy work for a dependable teenager. Fees negotiable.

Larry XXX-XXXX

It took me 10 seconds to look up Larry's phone number in an online reverse directory. Now I know where Larry lives and when he is going to be away from his house.

Linking a phone number to behavior patterns is a bad idea.

Here is first irrefutable evidence that someone is (or more likely has) subscribed to this weblog.

Now the only question is...

Why?

I like Dave Pollard's provacative weblog. He seems to be evaluating the data and asking the right questions.

My only gripe is that his RSS news feed routinely screws up Radio's web-based aggregator. I have to delete his posts, then go to his weblog to read them.

That's not a good solution, it makes it difficult to post his thoughts on my site. This would be a situation where an RSS feed with summaries would be really helpful.
