Our back yard is dominated by the patio room. It ocuppies too much of our yard, making the yard seem small and insignificant. Two years ago, however, I changed the equation. I ripped off the roof and installed Lexan. Then half of the patio room became my garden.
Today I started to finish the process. I lined the open windows with plastic. Now the Patio room is closer to a greenhouse. The plan is for the garden to grow through the winter.
I still need to figure out a good scheme for watering and provide more permanent window coverings. But, we are making progress.

Let me see if I can get this straight. Stuart is traveling in Europe. Beth is coming to San Jose. Mom and Dad are going to Yosemite. Ken is going to Santa Barbara. Tom and Michele are going to Santa Barbara.
Beth will watch Shasta, Tom and Michele will watch Syrah, and Reina and Tusker will sit at home and mope. I'll just assume that Shadow II is covered.
