Last night, during the 4th of July fireworks, I wondered how Marty was coping. Marty is the dog we met and took care of for a couple of days after he got spooked by the Chinese New Years fireworks. After we reunited Marty with his owner, he came back to visit, twice. We haven't seen him since, but knowing how he dislikes fireworks, I was worried about him.

This morning at 5 am, I woke to the sound of a dog drinking from the pond outside the bedroom window. I rolled over and looked out the window to see Marty. He was wet and tired, but very happy to see me. We dried him off and brought him in.

We had a good visit, went for a walk, tossed the tennis ball a bit, and worked on a little training. Then we delivered him to his family, they were very pleased to see Marty again.

And so our little dog story continues...
