So, I have a new camera that I am playing with. Playing means taking pictures of my toes in various light settings, shutter speeds and f-stops. While few people would ever be interested in my toes, I am having a lot of fun shooting them.
Having a digital camera lets me experiment far more than I ever could with film.
I am no longer searching for perfect light, I am playing light off motion. I am learning more than I had in 20 years of shooting film. Oh, did I mention, I am having fun.

$23.6m hyper-sprawl-subsidizing 101/Bailey interchange opens. Published Friday, December 17, 2004, in the San Jose Mercury News Interchange o [BATN at Yahoo! Groups]
San Jose spends $4.3 million, VTA kicks in another $4.5 million for an interchange that opens the Coyote Valley to sprawl. There is no money for a Caltrain stop, a light rail line, or even more busses. But we build a six lane bridge over Coyote Creek.
The original plan for the Coyote Valley development was that the developers would pick up the infrastructure costs. That must have gotten lost somewhere, because we are paying alot to build this interchange when money is very tight. So we have a new road and no transit. Certainly smells like smart growth to me.
Zero growth is smart growth, and anything else is just dumb.
