For First Time, Most Say Iraq War Was a Mistake (washingtonpost.com). washingtonpost.com - President Bush heads into his second term amid deep and growing public skepticism about the Iraq war, with a solid majority saying for the first time that the war was a mistake and most people believing that Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld should lose his job, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll. [Yahoo! News: Top Stories]
A month and a half after the elections the polls finally indicate that the Iraq war is going poorly.
While, it's never too early to recall the chief executive (we did it in California) our Constitution frowns on this sort of thing. There is no mechanism for voter removal. The best we can hope for is an impeachment proceeding that embarrasses the President into resigning. Then we get Dick Cheney, sorry, not worth the effort. Also, there's no chance, since this congress has no spine.
Realize that we elected a dumb shit for President, not once but twice. Let's vow never to do that again.
