Call me a glutton for punishment, but I have started watching the 49ers again.
I pretty much gave up on the 49ers when Steve Young retired and the salary cap gutted them.
But without hockey last year, I found myself watching games and caring a little. That rolled into this year. So I am still watching.
Now I am wondering, how can you be worse after a bye week? Shouldn't you be a little better after two weeks of practice and rest?
It looks like we are watching high school team against the NFL? Yes folks, the 49ers are that bad.
Perhaps in a season or two the rookie coach and quarterback can generate a winning season. But I have no faith that the new owner will stick with them that long.
BTW, this is my 1000th post on Fluid Flow. Not in league with the happy, bouncy posts that I started with. But, what are you going to do...
